IHCL Expands Portfolio to 645 Hotels with 20 New Signings and 11 Openings in Q1 FY2027


Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL)
has reported strong growth in the first quarter of FY2027, signing 20 new hotels and opening 11 properties across India and international markets. As of 30 June 2026, IHCL's portfolio has grown to 645 hotels, comprising 382 operational properties and a robust pipeline of 263 hotels.

The quarter's expansion was largely driven by Gateway, Ginger, and Tree of Life, which together accounted for 17 of the 20 new hotel signings. IHCL also expanded into emerging destinations such as Bharatpur, Trichy, Sindhudurg, Jawai, and Wayanad, while reinforcing its presence in established hospitality markets including Mumbai, Goa, Agra, and Kolkata.

Commenting on the growth, Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President – Real Estate & Development, IHCL, said the company remains focused on accelerating its growth brands while strengthening its presence across key leisure and business destinations.

A significant milestone during the quarter was the Taj brand reaching a portfolio of 150 hotels, supported by new signings in Dharamshala, Barapani (Meghalaya), and Kusur Valley (Maharashtra), further enhancing its luxury leisure footprint.

IHCL reaffirmed that it remains firmly on course to achieve its Accelerate 2030 vision of building a 700-hotel portfolio, reflecting its continued leadership in the hospitality sector.
