Hyatt Regency Chandigarh has announced the appointment of Chef Balvinder Lubana as its new Executive Chef, reinforcing the hotel's commitment to delivering exceptional culinary experiences and innovative dining concepts.

With over 17 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Chef Balvinder Lubana brings extensive expertise in luxury hotel kitchens, having worked with renowned hospitality brands including The Oberoi Group, Taj Hotels, Marriott International, and Hyatt. His diverse background reflects a deep understanding of culinary innovation, operational excellence, and guest-focused dining experiences.

In his new role, Chef Lubana will lead the hotel's overall culinary strategy and kitchen operations, overseeing its signature restaurants, banqueting, in-room dining services, and bespoke culinary experiences. His vision emphasizes regional flavors, global influences, sustainability, wellness-focused menus, and the use of fresh, seasonal ingredients to create memorable dining experiences for guests.

Throughout his distinguished career, Chef Lubana has successfully led high-performing culinary teams, conceptualized innovative dining experiences, and managed food and beverage operations across luxury hospitality brands. His leadership extends beyond hotel kitchens, having served as a member of the APEC Culinary Advisory Board (2024–25), where he contributed to initiatives promoting sustainable culinary practices, the use of locally sourced ingredients, and contemporary interpretations of regional cuisine.
