With over 30 years of distinguished experience in luxury hospitality, Anand Nair continues to set benchmarks in hotel leadership and operational excellence. As General Manager of InterContinental Chennai Mahabalipuram Resort, he brings a wealth of expertise, strategic vision, and an unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Anand's hospitality journey began in 1995 as a Management Trainee with The Leela Hotels, Palaces & Resorts at The Leela Kempinski, Mumbai. He further strengthened his credentials with The Taj Group of Hotels, serving across prestigious destinations including Sri Lanka, Nashik, Taj Gateway, and Taj Residency Bangalore, where he honed his expertise in luxury operations.

His leadership journey continued with Sarovar Hotels in Kerala, where, as General Manager, he successfully spearheaded the launch of a renowned backwater resort. During his eight-year tenure, he played a pivotal role in enhancing operational excellence, strengthening brand visibility, and elevating guest satisfaction.

Joining IHG Hotels & Resorts, Anand took charge of InterContinental Chennai Mahabalipuram Resort as General Manager. During the challenging COVID-19 period, he simultaneously led InterContinental Chennai Mahabalipuram Resort and Crowne Plaza Chennai Adyar Park, demonstrating exceptional leadership in unprecedented times.

His outstanding performance earned him the prestigious IHG Owners Impact Award – General Manager of the Year on three occasions across the India, Middle East, and Africa (IMEA) region—an achievement that reflects his dedication to excellence and people-centric leadership.

Now, Anand returns to InterContinental Chennai Mahabalipuram Resort to lead its multi-million-dollar renovation and relaunch, ushering in an exciting new chapter for one of South India's premier luxury destinations. His vision is expected to redefine the resort experience while reinforcing its position as a landmark destination for leisure, business, and luxury travelers.
