IHCL Signs Tree of Life Resort at Chilika Lake, Marks Brand's Entry into Odisha

Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) has announced the signing of a 30-key Tree of Life Resort at Chilika Lake, marking the brand's debut in Odisha.

The greenfield project underscores IHCL's commitment to expanding its presence in nature-led and experiential travel destinations, catering to the growing demand for immersive hospitality experiences.
Nestled on the banks of Asia's largest brackish water lagoon, the resort will feature thoughtfully designed accommodations, an all-day dining restaurant, a bar, meeting facilities, a swimming pool, and a spa, offering guests a serene retreat amid one of India's most biodiverse ecosystems.

Commenting on the signing, Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President – Real Estate & Development, IHCL, said the project reflects the company's strategy of expanding the Tree of Life brand into destinations with strong experiential appeal.

Developed in partnership with SCANIA STEELS & POWERS LIMITED and Powers Ltd., the resort will celebrate the natural beauty and cultural heritage of Chilika Lake, a UNESCO World Heritage Site candidate, renowned for its rich biodiversity and the endangered Irrawaddy dolphin.
